Diguinho Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gino de Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Diguinho Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germano Sabóia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ASTRT's Germano Sabóia got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Tijolo's zone, Gino de Queirós stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diguinho Machado came out of the goal and Gino de Queirós tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 21 played minutes ASTRT got a freekick which was hit by Germano Sabóia. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Germano Sabóia in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diguinho Machado saved Tijolo from getting behind. Diguinho Machado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germano Sabóia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Germano Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cido Teles hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After 52 minutes ASTRT's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ricardo Hermes who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of ASTRT's goalie and right to Juninho Mandrak. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. ASTRT's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Germano Sabóia to make the kick off. After 59 played minutes ASTRT got a freekick which was hit by Marcelo de Brito. Germano Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Diguinho Machado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Tijolo's Diguinho Machado got control of the ball when Germano Sabóia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Germano Sabóia in the 93rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Diguinho Machado, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gino de Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diguinho Machado came out of the goal and Marcelo de Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Tijolo getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Silas Sabóia hit a great ball. ASTRT's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
