When Osvaldo Sabóia fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caiteuara SC's protests and gave Osvaldo Sabóia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Osvaldo Sabóia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Richard Dracena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovanni Campidelis in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuri Lopes in the 19th minute of play forced Caiteuara SC's goalkeeper Dito Arantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Belmiro Sabóia charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Belmiro Sabóia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th minute, Belmiro Sabóia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute, Jean de Andrade ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Dracena was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Caiteuara SC's zone, Benjamim Romero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dito Arantes came out of the goal and Benjamim Romero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benjamim Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Languiru SS booed when Caiteuara SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Sabóia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robinho Alagoano charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Caiteuara SC booed when Languiru SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robinho Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Richard Dracena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jean de Andrade in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geovanni Campidelis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Richard Dracena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rui Moraes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richard Dracena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Richard Dracena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovanni Campidelis in the 57th minute of play. Caiteuara SC's Geovanni Campidelis got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edu Félix's late challenge caught a Languiru SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edu Félix helped the player get up and apologised. In the 70th minute, Edu Félix hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the match, Caiteuara SC's Geovanni Campidelis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Richard Dracena narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Caiteuara SC booed when Languiru SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yuri Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute of the match Rui Moraes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Richard Dracena showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Yuri Lopes came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Languiru SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yuri Lopes couldn't finish the play. Benjamim Romero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dito Arantes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Caiteuara SC's zone, Benjamim Romero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dito Arantes came out of the goal and Benjamim Romero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jean de Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Many of Languiru SS's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Languiru SS may have spent more time on the ball, but Caiteuara SC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
