Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Pedro Falcão in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Germano Brasil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Frédson Koehler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Braz's supporters rose to their feet, but Frédson Koehler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chiquinho Capixaba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Braz's Maurício Gomes got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the game, Romário Massa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Braz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Amanirenas the free kick. After a rather tough play, Braz's Romário Massa got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Maurício Gomes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Chiquinho Capixaba made a huge save. Braz's Germano Brasil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Braz from getting a goal against them. Braz's Gláuber Mello got his second yellow card of the match in the 83rd minute. The referee ordered Gláuber Mello off the ground. Gláuber Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Germano Brasil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dudu Vasconcelos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Germano Brasil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Pedro Falcão in the 88th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Dudu Vasconcelos made a precise shot to the right of Germano Brasil. Braz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1.
