The audience was convinced that Armando Faria's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chicão Sarmento was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Silvério Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chicão Sarmento having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, Silvinho Paraense recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Falcão Lira. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silvério Falcão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Chicão Sarmento was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Breno Lara's late challenge caught a S&V FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Breno Lara helped the player get up and apologised. Chicão Sarmento made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Claudinho Mattos sent off a good shot on target.
