After the first half Borrachos F.C. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Luís de Mendonça made the kick off in the second half. Igor Donatello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís de Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elano Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Nando de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Roberto Porto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Borrachos F.C.'s Elano Cabral slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hílton Prestes. That made the score 0-2 after 68 minutes of play. A collision led to Borrachos F.C. getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Abelardo Matos hit a great ball. In the 74th minute Posses were awarded a corner. Romeu Nóbrega went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Romeu Nóbrega got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Igor Donatello quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Igor Donatello made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís de Mendonça in the 80th minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Raimundo Cosme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borrachos F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Posses the free kick. In the 92nd minute, Raimundo Cosme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95thth minute of the game Luís de Mendonça who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Borrachos F.C.'s Igor Donatello was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the final whistle sounded Borrachos F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Posses.
