After some careless play in the Iuarete defense, Edson Marinho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arthur Pernambucano. The Iuarete fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arthur Pernambucano should have stopped the shot. 15 minutes into the match, Iuarete's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Gabriel Leite came free, but Arthur Pernambucano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ediberto Bezerra's late challenge caught a Itaipu FPRMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ediberto Bezerra helped the player get up and apologised. Osmar das Neves's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Décio Brodel firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 24th minute Edson Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arthur Pernambucano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edson Marinho hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the match, Iuarete's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Gabriel Leite came free, but Arthur Pernambucano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arthur Pernambucano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Gabriel Leite in the 37th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edson Marinho in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arthur Pernambucano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 41 played minutes Iuarete got a freekick which was hit by Giuseppe Guedes. Arthur Pernambucano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Gabriel Leite, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. If Tiago Gabriel Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiago Gabriel Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Itaipu FPRMZ were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tiago Gabriel Leite to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56thth minute of the game Lauro Branco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itaipu FPRMZ's Décio Brodel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 66th minute Lauro Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Décio Brodel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Gabriel Leite in the 70th minute of play forced Iuarete's goalkeeper Arthur Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Iuarete's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Gabriel Leite came free, but Arthur Pernambucano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Edson Marinho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Tiago Gabriel Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiago Gabriel Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Iuarete's zone, Edson Marinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arthur Pernambucano came out of the goal and Edson Marinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 97 minutes, Edson Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaipu FPRMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edson Marinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edson Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arthur Pernambucano having to interfere.
