NEW YORK TITANS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute, Marcel de Queirós reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Costa. The goal made the score 1-1. Gabriel Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Marcel de Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Betim Saint Italian fans jumped to their feet. Gabriel Meira might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriel Meira ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcel de Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucas Luz to make the kick off. Lucas Luz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Valdomiro de Lara came out and tried to block the shot, but Lucas Luz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 55th minute. Betim Saint Italian's Valdomiro de Lara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Luz in the 82nd minute of play. Pedro Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Meira in the 94th minute of play. NEW YORK TITANS's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
