Acácio Leal might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ruy de Sena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. An unexpectedly hard shot by Acácio Leal in the 6th minute of play forced RAFA JUNIORS's goalkeeper Ruy de Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mauro Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Castanhao SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Cunha couldn't finish the play. Acácio Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy de Sena having to interfere. José Paulo Koehler struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Abelardo Bueno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RAFA JUNIORS. Ruy de Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Cunha in the 22nd minute of play. Acácio Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ruy de Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Castanhao SS's Abelardo Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Didi Quadros in the 27th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Paulo Koehler got free with Abelardo Bueno in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. José Paulo Koehlers short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Abelardo Bueno to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 33rd minute, Didi Quadros fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Abelardo Bueno, passed just outside the right post. Didi Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Bueno having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

With a little luck, RAFA JUNIORS's Ruy de Sena got control of the ball when Mauro Cunha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Didi Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Bueno having to interfere. Ivo Xavier kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Mauro Cunha succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 83rd playminute. A collision led to RAFA JUNIORS getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Ivo Xavier hit a great ball. Ruy de Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Acácio Leal in the 89th minute of the match. Acácio Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, RAFA JUNIORS's Matheus Macedo got a free kick in the 95th minute. In the 98th minute Acácio Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruy de Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Castanhao SS eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
