Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Doni Linhares made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute, Mauro Cunha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Delfim Urbano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 7th match minute, Lider S FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edu Pontes to maneuver through the defense. Acácio Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. If Sílvio Rosado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Castanhao SS's Abelardo Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doni Linhares in the 15th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Lider S FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Cunha came free, but Delfim Urbano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sílvio Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd match minute, Castanhao SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guilherme Vale to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilton Mendes in the 36th minute of play forced Castanhao SS's goalkeeper Abelardo Bueno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doni Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Abelardo Bueno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulão Vides's late challenge caught a Lider S FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulão Vides helped the player get up and apologised. Paulão Vides hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Castanhao SS's zone, Sílvio Rosado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abelardo Bueno came out of the goal and Sílvio Rosado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Doni Linhares did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Abelardo Bueno 47 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Acácio Leal to make the kick off. Lider S FC's Doni Linhares got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 59 minutes into the game, Acácio Leal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Delfim Urbano. Acácio Leal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Doni Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Bueno having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Doni Linhares put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Abelardo Bueno. In the 76th minute, Moisés Mattos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Delfim Urbano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulão Vides, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doni Linhares in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abelardo Bueno saved Castanhao SS from getting behind. Doni Linhares took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abelardo Bueno. Abelardo Bueno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Moisés Mattos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Doni Linhares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Paulão Vides hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Acácio Leal got his second yellow card in the match during the 95th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 96th match minute, Castanhao SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Acácio Leal to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Lider S FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
