After 15th play minutes Jeferson Botelho shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Guga Goiano and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 19th minute, João Carlos Koehler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th minute, Patrick Pombal had to leave the field with a concussion. Oscar Velasco charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Oscar Velasco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Oscar Velasco hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. The supporters of PONTE PRETA booed when 100 Chance Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernani Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guga Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Carlos Koehler in the 32nd minute of play. João Carlos Koehler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Guga Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Carlos Koehler struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Guga Goiano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 100 Chance Futebol Clube. 40 minutes into the game, Beto Lima was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 100 Chance Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PONTE PRETA the free kick. A collision led to 100 Chance Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Beto Lima hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in 100 Chance Futebol Clube's zone, Afonsinho Moreno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elivélton Arruda came out of the goal and Afonsinho Moreno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Carlos Koehler in the 46th minute of play forced PONTE PRETA's goalkeeper Guga Goiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If João Carlos Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half 100 Chance Futebol Clube were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Oscar Velasco to strike the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the game, 100 Chance Futebol Clube's João Carlos Koehler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Guga Goiano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Oscar Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Carlos Koehler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guga Goiano having to interfere. If João Carlos Koehler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as João Carlos Koehler kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Guga Goiano. That made the score 0-3 in the 83 minute of play. João Carlos Koehler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcinho Soares during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. 100 Chance Futebol Clube had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
