If Rodrigo Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Paulão Vides fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Castanhao SS's protests and gave Paulão Vides a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Castanhao SS's Paulão Vides got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 72nd minute Cléberson Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Bueno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
