Mark Molin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerônimo Quintal in the 12th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Gabs Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Goiano came free, but Mark Molin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jerônimo Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Molin having to interfere. Marcos Cerezo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio Recife in the 31st minute of play forced Old Impale FC's goalkeeper Benedito Ferraz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Jerônimo Quintal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Mark Molin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcelo Goiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Old Impale FC booed when Gabs Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evandro Saldanha didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Marcelo Goiano came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Old Impale FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelo Goiano couldn't finish the play. Marcos Cerezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 45 minutes into the match, Gabs Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Goiano came free, but Mark Molin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jerônimo Quintal made a kick off. Benedito Ferraz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Recife in the 56th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Hortêncio Recife had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benedito Ferraz. Old Impale FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hortêncio Recife was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Dé Paulista's late challenge caught a Gabs Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dé Paulista helped the player get up and apologised. Dé Paulista kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. A collision led to Gabs Football Club getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Hortêncio Recife hit a great ball. In the 74th minute, Cleiton Valadares sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Old Impale FC's Benedito Ferraz didn't even have to move. After 75 played minutes Gabs Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Evandro Saldanha. Marcos Cerezo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Benedito Ferraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evandro Saldanha kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Mark Molin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerônimo Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Old Impale FC's Tarcisio Rodrigues got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jerônimo Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Gabs Football Club's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Marcelo Goiano fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice moves Marcelo Goiano could shoot a difficult shot in the 96th minute, which Mark Molin however easily saved by the left post.
