In the 31st minute, Ruy Moreira sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lider S FC's Delfim Urbano didn't even have to move. The supporters of Athletico Manaus booed when Lider S FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramón Félix didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Dudu Ferraz came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Athletico Manaus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dudu Ferraz couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edu Pontes during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Athletico Manaus fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lider S FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
