Spectators: 7230 (Terracing: 5424, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Cléberson Pimenta kicked off to start the match. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by Muriaé FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Diamantino Bastos was slow to take the kick. During this time Estocomo FC's players had a chance to rest. After 8 minutes, Nilton Fernandez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estocomo FC and the Muriaé FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Estocomo FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Nilton Fernandez hit a great ball. The supporters of Muriaé FC booed when Estocomo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorginho Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. João de Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorginho Carvalho in the 15th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Enio Arce ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ramiro Rocha was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 19th minute Rodrigo Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Pedro Augusto Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Muriaé FC's João de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilton Fernandez in the 24th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Estocomo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Perez came free, but Ramiro Rocha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 36 minutes, Diamantino Bastos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estocomo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diamantino Bastos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Doriva Varela hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Muriaé FC's zone, Jorginho Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João de Godoi came out of the goal and Jorginho Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Didi Munhoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. João de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nilton Fernandez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nilton Fernandez in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João de Godoi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Didi Munhoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Diamantino Bastos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Estocomo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Diamantino Bastos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João de Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58th minute Nilton Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Didi Munhoz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João de Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Bastos in the 62nd minute of play. Jorginho Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jorginho Carvalho came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Estocomo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorginho Carvalho couldn't finish the play. Jorginho Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. João de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João de Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diamantino Bastos, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Cléberson Pimenta dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ramiro Rocha, 1-2. 74 minutes into the game, Jorginho Carvalho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Estocomo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Muriaé FC the free kick. Jorginho Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Estocomo FC's Jorginho Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 80th play minutes Diamantino Bastos shot 2-2, a short shot which went by João de Godoi and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 90th minute, Didi Munhoz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. João de Godoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. When the referee ended the match the Estocomo FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
