Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Oscar Velasco took the kick off in the first half of the match. PONTE PRETA's Guga Goiano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save PONTE PRETA from getting a goal against them. Doni Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guga Goiano having to interfere. Doni Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Guga Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to PONTE PRETA getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Oscar Velasco hit a great ball. Dieguinho Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Lider S FC's Doni Linhares in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. PONTE PRETA's Guga Goiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doni Linhares in the 16th minute of play. Moisés Mattos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Guga Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Guga Goiano managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when Lider S FC's Doni Linhares fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doni Linhares in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guga Goiano saved PONTE PRETA from getting behind. Guga Goiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doni Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sílvio Rosado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Guga Goiano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Moisés Mattos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Guga Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 47 minutes, Doni Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lider S FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Doni Linhares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doni Linhares in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guga Goiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sílvio Rosado took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guga Goiano. Guga Goiano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Guga Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Rosado in the 60th minute of play. Guga Goiano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doni Linhares's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. 64 minutes into the match, Lider S FC's Moisés Mattos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guga Goiano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Doni Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 minutes, Doni Linhares made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. PONTE PRETA's Guga Goiano tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Guga Goiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Afonsinho Moreno hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
