Ricardinho Siqueira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hortêncio Recife to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to A.D São Caetano getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. A.D São Caetano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hortêncio Recife was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. When Marcos Cerezo came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Gabs Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcos Cerezo couldn't finish the play. If Marcos Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabs Football Club's Cleiton Valadares couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for A.D São Caetano. In the 84th minute there was a penalty for Gabs Football Club. Cleiton Valadares stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ricardinho Siqueira. 7-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hortêncio Recife in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardinho Siqueira saved A.D São Caetano from getting behind. The supporters of Gabs Football Club booed when A.D São Caetano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmir Lira didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Gabs Football Club had played much better football throughout.
