Spectators: 7101 (Terracing: 5397, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 50) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Acácio Leal kicked off to start the match. Nelsinho Donato was a little too slow when Acácio Leal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. With a little luck, Jouquarinha's Nelsinho Donato got control of the ball when Mauro Cunha tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jouquarinha's goalkeeper Nelsinho Donato, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Jouquarinha's Elano Gomes got a free kick in the 17th minute. If Acácio Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tales Bezerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abelardo Bueno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murillo Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Castanhao SS's Mauro Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee showed Cauã Favoretto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd match minute, Castanhao SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cauã Favoretto to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the game, Elano Gomes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jouquarinha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Castanhao SS the free kick. The supporters of Castanhao SS booed when Jouquarinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elano Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Elano Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Acácio Leal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st match minute, Jouquarinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murillo Marinho to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Castanhao SS booed when Jouquarinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elano Gomes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Acácio Leal in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nelsinho Donato prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Armando Paraíba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Castanhao SS getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Cauã Favoretto hit a great ball. Acácio Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Armando Paraíba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Bueno having to interfere. Armando Paraíba's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Abelardo Bueno skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Nelsinho Donato came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Castanhao SS's Mauro Cunha. But to his dismay, Mauro Cunha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Abelardo Bueno didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Armando Paraíba went, in the 98th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
