In the 7th minute of the match Manfredo Terra sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ruy de Sena skillfully saved the ball. João Vítor Terra kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. When Armando Paraíba, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 12 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Ruy de Sena was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 14th play minute Armando Paraíba came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ruy de Sena. 1-0. Jouquarinha's Nelsinho Donato played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Didi Quadros in the 17th minute of play. With a little luck, RAFA JUNIORS's Ruy de Sena got control of the ball when Armando Paraíba tried to sneak it across the goal line. RAFA JUNIORS's Ruy de Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tales Bezerra in the 22nd minute of play. Ruy de Sena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armando Paraíba in the 23rd minute. José Paulo Koehler took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nelsinho Donato. Nelsinho Donato dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, Jouquarinha's Olívio Trigo got a free kick in the 35th minute. It was beautiful to see RAFA JUNIORS's Filipe Mangueira in action when he in the 36th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Didi Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelsinho Donato having to interfere. After having played for 43 minutes, Armando Paraíba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jouquarinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Paraíba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nelsinho Donato took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivo Xavier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Didi Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. José Paulo Koehler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelsinho Donato having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, José Paulo Koehler notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Jouquarinha's Nelsinho Donato. Nelsinho Donato was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Didi Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nelsinho Donato stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Didi Quadros's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. In the 74th minute, José Paulo Koehler made a precise shot to the right of Nelsinho Donato. Jouquarinha's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Manfredo Terra charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Manfredo Terra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of Jouquarinha:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of RAFA JUNIORS:s goal. After a defensive mix-up in RAFA JUNIORS's zone, Tales Bezerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruy de Sena came out of the goal and Tales Bezerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 92 minutes, Ivo Xavier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RAFA JUNIORS and the Jouquarinha players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, RAFA JUNIORS's Ivo Xavier got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 98 minutes into the match, RAFA JUNIORS's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Paraíba came free, but Ruy de Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. RAFA JUNIORS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
