After a defensive mix-up in Chatinho EC's zone, César Braga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Carneiro came out of the goal and César Braga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chatinho EC's Anderson Trancoso pulled a muscle in his leg after 72 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Nando de Castro fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DISTRITO FEDERAL LADRÕES's protests and gave Nando de Castro a yellow card for diving instead. Nando de Castro hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute Edinho Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute, Nando de Castro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Carneiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0.
