After 20 minutes, Eriberto Paraíba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chatinho EC and the EE LEMENSE players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eriberto Paraíba hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Luiz Gustavo Monteiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ricardo Carneiro. Chatinho EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Christiano Fantini kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felipe Xavier in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Carneiro saved Chatinho EC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Chatinho EC's zone, Felipe Xavier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Carneiro came out of the goal and Felipe Xavier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Vito Freire managed to get in a good position for a shot. EE LEMENSE's supporters rose to their feet, but Vito Freire was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Carneiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 34 minutes into the game, EE LEMENSE's Vito Freire nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Carneiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Kauã Fontes hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Vito Freire received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ricardo Carneiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felipe Xavier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vito Freire scored 0-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Carneiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Delfim Loureiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute, Felipe Xavier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Felipe Xavier took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Ricardo Carneiro to make any attempt to save it. After 65 played minutes Chatinho EC got a freekick which was hit by Christiano Fantini. In the 68th minute Felipe Xavier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vito Freire's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Carneiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Vito Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Carneiro having to interfere. With a little luck, Chatinho EC's Ricardo Carneiro got control of the ball when Vito Freire tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Vivaldo Corrêa fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chatinho EC's protests and gave Vivaldo Corrêa a yellow card for diving instead. Ricardo Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Xavier, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute.
