Pedro Esteves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Delfim Loureiro's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Esporte Clube Bahia's Rafael Leal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ricardo Carneiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Delfim Loureiro to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes Chatinho EC got a freekick which was hit by Anderson Trancoso. William Custódio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardo Carneiro having to make a save. Ricardo Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joélson Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
