But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Maria Ramos couldn't finish the play. Cristian Carioca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Maria Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Matos having to interfere. Jonathan Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Maria Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If José Maria Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonathan Matos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Maria Ramos's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 28th match minute, Agora vai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugênio das Neves to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Maria Ramos in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Matos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 36th minute, José Maria Ramos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Matos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Cristóvão Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. João Francisco Reis's late challenge caught a Petróleo EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Francisco Reis helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th minute of the match Francisco Freitas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Matos skillfully saved the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Sílvio Luís Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Sanches having to interfere. If José Maria Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simão Vaz struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Jonathan Matos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Petróleo EC. Agora vai's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Dida Koehler scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Matos, making the score, 0-3. In the 80th minute, Zézinho Queiroz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amadeu Sanches was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. When Cristóvão Corrêa came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Petróleo EC fans jumped to their feet. José Maria Ramos scored 1-5 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Matos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Petróleo EC's Cristian Carioca got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Petróleo EC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Agora vai.
