Spectators: 7077 (Terracing: 5416, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arlindo Santos started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Rio Branco S. C's Gualter Carneiro got a free kick in the 8th minute. The supporters of Rio Branco S. C booed when Angatuba EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabiano Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Augusto Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldinho Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Guedes in the 18th minute of play. Délio Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldinho Leite having to interfere. In the 21st minute Délio Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldinho Leite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Délio Vidal took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronaldinho Leite. Ronaldinho Leite dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 1-1 became the score in the 24th minute when Arlindo Santos elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Guedes in the 32nd minute of play forced Rio Branco S. C's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zé Augusto Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Antônio Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the match, Rio Branco S. C's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Guedes came free, but Ronaldinho Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Zé Augusto Fontes came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Rio Branco S. C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Augusto Fontes couldn't finish the play. If Caetano Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Angatuba EC were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Caetano Guedes made the kick off in the second half. Ronaldinho Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Guedes in the 52nd minute of the match. Ronaldinho Leite was a little too slow when Caetano Guedes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 1-4. 63 minutes into the match, Rio Branco S. C's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Leite had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Délio Vidal. In the 63rd match minute, Rio Branco S. C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualter Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. After 66 minutes, Tony Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Angatuba EC and the Rio Branco S. C players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Rio Branco S. C booed when Angatuba EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Augusto Fontes struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Antônio Mazza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rio Branco S. C. Tony Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Gualter Carneiro hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute of the match Glauco Maciel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ronaldinho Leite skillfully saved the ball. Ronaldinho Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Guedes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Caetano Guedes came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Angatuba EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caetano Guedes couldn't finish the play. Ronaldinho Leite stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caetano Guedes's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. In the 95th match minute, Rio Branco S. C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gualter Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute of the match, Caetano Guedes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ronaldinho Leite saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Angatuba EC played a much better game than Rio Branco S. C and deserved their victory. The Rio Branco S. C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
