Patrick de Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Aírton Lucas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdemar das Neves in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute, César de Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edvaldo Coutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Rio Amazonas Club's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Montenegro came free, but Aírton Lucas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Moura blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aírton Lucas having to make a save. Aírton Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. César de Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Peladeiros's Cássio Ramos got control of the ball when César de Brito tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peladeiros's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rio Amazonas Club the free kick. Manuel Moura hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. José Carlos Castro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cássio Ramos. Peladeiros's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 54 played minutes Peladeiros got a freekick which was hit by Arthur dos Santos. Rio Amazonas Club's Aírton Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar das Neves in the 63rd minute of play. Francisco Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Rio Amazonas Club's Túlio Porto got a free kick in the 69th minute. Aírton Lucas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Moura in the 70th minute of play. Adalberto Ribeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cássio Ramos having to make a save. When Francisco Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Peladeiros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Montenegro couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateus Penha in the 83rd minute of play forced Peladeiros's goalkeeper Cássio Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Peladeiros's goalkeeper Cássio Ramos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aírton Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. When the match had been going on for 97 minutes, Peladeiros's Francisco Montenegro got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Aírton Lucas. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Peladeiros had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
