After a rather tough play, Coppini FC's Alan de Barros got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 6th minute, Faustão Montenegro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Coppini FC's Norberto Fonseca didn't even have to move. Wellington Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norberto Fonseca having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Coppini FC's goalkeeper Norberto Fonseca had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudinei Coelho. The crowd rose to their feet as Pajeuzinho EC's Glauco Donato slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Norberto Fonseca. That made the score 1-0 after 15 minutes of play. Glauco Donato might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Norberto Fonseca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Glauco Donato ran back to his position shaking his head. Coppini FC's Norberto Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glauco Donato in the 20th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Glauco Donato in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Norberto Fonseca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 21 minutes, Alan de Barros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coppini FC and the Pajeuzinho EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Coppini FC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Alan de Barros hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Glauco Donato managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pajeuzinho EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Glauco Donato was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norberto Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Claudinei Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Telmo Mendes made a kick off. Glauco Donato's late challenge caught a Coppini FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Glauco Donato helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo Mendes in the 54th minute of play forced Pajeuzinho EC's goalkeeper Didi Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th match minute, Pajeuzinho EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romário Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. If Cristóvão Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
