The supporters of ASPEN booed when Sapopema was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clemente Sarmento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliu Doles struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Douglas de Andrade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ASPEN. 75 minutes into the match, Sapopema's goalkeeper Douglas de Andrade had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by César Macedo. ASPEN's supporters rose to their feet, but César Macedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglas de Andrade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Sapopema's zone, Eliu Doles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Douglas de Andrade came out of the goal and Eliu Doles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sapopema's Douglas de Andrade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Sapopema from getting a goal against them. The Sapopema fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. ASPEN were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
