Teodoro Teles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudinei Monteiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Douglas de Andrade having to make a save. Douglas de Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinei Monteiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cauã Tepedino during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 49th minute, Joélson Souza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Douglas de Andrade. The goal made the score 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Vivaldo Tinoco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valério Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sapopema's zone, Joélson Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Douglas de Andrade came out of the goal and Joélson Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Teodoro Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Joélson Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vivaldo Tinoco made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Paulo Melo sent off a good shot on target. Tupiniquins's Teodoro Teles got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joélson Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Tupiniquins's Fausto Antunes got a free kick in the 91st minute. When Fiori de Toledo came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Sapopema fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fiori de Toledo couldn't finish the play. After 98 minutes of play, Tupiniquins's Joélson Souza made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Douglas de Andrade was left in no man's land by his defense there!
