Spectators: 6475 (Terracing: 5475, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) ASPEN's Moisés Teixeira started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Moisés Teixeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Juarês Custódio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Motta, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 14th minute, Moisés Teixeira made a precise shot to the right of João Augusto Nascimento. Atlético Maranhense's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Atlético Maranhense's Acácio Carvalho got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute of the match, Moisés Teixeira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but João Augusto Nascimento saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 22nd minute, Eliu Doles fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of João Augusto Nascimento, passed just outside the right post. With a little luck, Atlético Maranhense's João Augusto Nascimento got control of the ball when César Macedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 48 minutes, César Macedo made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Atlético Maranhense's João Augusto Nascimento tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Juarês Custódio made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Maranhense's zone, Moisés Teixeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Augusto Nascimento came out of the goal and Moisés Teixeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Moisés Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Augusto Nascimento having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 62 minutes into the game, when Robinho de Azevedo put in a rough tackle. After 62 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Atlético Maranhense! In the 64th minute there was a penalty for ASPEN. Célio Tepedino stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving João Augusto Nascimento. 5-0. João Augusto Nascimento came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by ASPEN's Moisés Teixeira. But to his dismay, Moisés Teixeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Eliu Doles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. João Augusto Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Augusto Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César Macedo in the 77th minute of the match. Isaltino da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Moisés Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Eliu Doles managed to get in a good position for a shot. ASPEN's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliu Doles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Augusto Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee ended the match the ASPEN players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
