A very good chance. 17 minutes into the match, Guveia's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamin Valadares came free, but Edinho Mesquita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Túlio Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmir Dracena having to interfere. After 22 minutes, Zé Pedro Moura mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Irajuba AD and the Guveia players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Guveia booed when Irajuba AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Pedro Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 23 minutes, Túlio Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guveia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Túlio Sabóia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Túlio Sabóia to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Juvenal Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guveia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juvenal Pinheiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 61st minute of the match Caco Paraíba shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Walmir Dracena showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 63 minutes of play, Guveia's Juvenal Pinheiro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Walmir Dracena was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Irajuba AD's Humberto Mello got a free kick in the 71st minute. Túlio Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Walmir Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juvenal Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 79th minute Guveia were awarded a corner. Caco Paraíba went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Caco Paraíba got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Walmir Dracena quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Edinho Mesquita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Mello in the 83rd minute of play. Guveia's Edinho Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Mello in the 85th minute of play. Benjamin Valadares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edinho Mesquita having to interfere. Caco Paraíba hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
