Guarani FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gilson Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lenílson Mandrak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 12 played minutes Sampaio Corrêa FC got a freekick which was hit by Matheus da Cunha. Lenílson Mandrak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Ramiro Pernambucano kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. If Pedro Luiz Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Gilson Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Matheus da Cunha dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Laércio Antunes, 2-0. In the 28th minute, Álvaro Guimarães made a precise shot to the right of Laércio Antunes. Guarani FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Celsinho de Salles took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laércio Antunes. Laércio Antunes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After 35 played minutes Sampaio Corrêa FC got a freekick which was hit by Vinícius Mello. Lenílson Mandrak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Luiz Simões's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. After a rather tough play, Sampaio Corrêa FC's Celsinho de Salles got a free kick in the 37th minute. With a little luck, Guarani FC's Laércio Antunes got control of the ball when Celsinho de Salles tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lenílson Mandrak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Luiz Simões's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. After 43 minutes, Pedro Luiz Simões made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Sampaio Corrêa FC's Lenílson Mandrak tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Luiz Simões in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lenílson Mandrak saved Sampaio Corrêa FC from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

54 minutes into the match, Guarani FC's goal looked a bit too open when Matheus da Cunha came free, but Laércio Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Pedro Luiz Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 58 played minutes Pedro Luiz Simões could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 4-2 into the left cross. Laércio Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinícius Mello, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Laércio Antunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matheus da Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Pedro Luiz Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilson Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 68 played minutes Sampaio Corrêa FC got a freekick which was hit by Matheus da Cunha. Laércio Antunes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matheus da Cunha went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. 80 minutes into the game, Matheus da Cunha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-2. Laércio Antunes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 85th minute, Álvaro Guimarães ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laércio Antunes was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-2. Duda Meirelles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lenílson Mandrak having to interfere. In the 96th match minute, Sampaio Corrêa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celsinho de Salles to maneuver through the defense. Sampaio Corrêa FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
