An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Augusto Vargas in the 26th minute of play forced Corinthians-Ba's goalkeeper Nestor Abraão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Corinthians-Ba defense, Caio Brodel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nestor Abraão. The Corinthians-Ba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nestor Abraão should have stopped the shot. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Corinthians-Ba's goalkeeper Nestor Abraão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Caio Brodel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Abraão having to interfere. Paulo José de Castro charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo José de Castro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
