Raí Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes in the game, Fabiano Veiga fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Raí Lima having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Cristóvão Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catiara's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristóvão Guerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raí Lima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Catiara getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Jarbas Souto hit a great ball. Cléber Mello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agostinho Prata in the 40th minute of the match. Raí Lima didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 43rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabiano Veiga made a kick off. After some careless play in the Soinho SS defense, Cristóvão Guerra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raí Lima. The Soinho SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raí Lima should have stopped the shot. Raí Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Veiga in the 65th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guga Gerber during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 65 played minutes Soinho SS got a freekick which was hit by Guga Gerber. In the 74th minute Agostinho Prata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléber Mello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Fabiano Veiga made a precise shot to the right of Raí Lima. Soinho SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. 80 minutes into the match, Soinho SS's Agostinho Prata sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cléber Mello narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Tostão Vinhas could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Cléber Mello however easily saved by the left post. 93 minutes into the match, Soinho SS's Agostinho Prata sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cléber Mello narrowly saved just below the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Soinho SS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Catiara.
