The supporters of 300 ESPARTA booed when Grêmio F.B.P.A was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Koehler didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Gabriel de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13thth minute of the game Sidnei Cordeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 300 ESPARTA's Luan Sousa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Lino Reis fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grêmio F.B.P.A's protests and gave Lino Reis a yellow card for diving instead. Lino Reis hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Sidnei Cordeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luan Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidnei Cordeiro in the 20th minute of play. Grêmio F.B.P.A's Luís Eduardo Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Pernambucano in the 22nd minute of play. Lino Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute of the match Mauro Rodrigues sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luan Sousa skillfully saved the ball. If Sidnei Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristóvão Pernambucano to strike the kick off in the second half. Gabriel de Senas short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Luís Eduardo Fernandes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Luís Eduardo Fernandes didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 66th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. If Cristóvão Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel de Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 81 played minutes Grêmio F.B.P.A got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Pinheiro. 300 ESPARTA's Felippe Penha shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 82nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Luís Eduardo Fernandes but with some difficulty. With a little luck, Grêmio F.B.P.A's Luís Eduardo Fernandes got control of the ball when Gabriel de Sena tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cristóvão Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Eduardo Fernandes having to interfere. It was a well-played corner which Tadeu Meira managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
