Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sidnei Cordeiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. Luís Eduardo Fernandes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Durval Miranda in the 5th minute. Arnaldo Correia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sidnei Cordeiro went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Grêmio F.B.P.A's Waldir Antunes got a free kick in the 14th minute. Durval Miranda in the 24thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Luís Eduardo Fernandes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 29th minute, Thomás Valladares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Durval Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grêmio F.B.P.A's goalkeeper Luís Eduardo Fernandes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nico Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 38 minutes, Durval Miranda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Camba rufa city's supporters crossed their fingers, but Durval Miranda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Durval Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Eduardo Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nico Pena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 45th minute, Nico Pena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nico Pena was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 48th minute. Camba rufa city's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The Camba rufa city players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Grêmio F.B.P.A were winning 0-2.

In the 52nd minute Durval Miranda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Eduardo Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Tibúrcio Garcia sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Grêmio F.B.P.A's Luís Eduardo Fernandes didn't even have to move. 57 minutes into the match, Camba rufa city's goalkeeper Arnaldo Correia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lino Reis. Nico Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Grêmio F.B.P.A's Luís Eduardo Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durval Miranda in the 60th minute of play. Camba rufa city's Nico Pena got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Durval Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lino Reis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 78th minute, Durval Miranda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nico Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Eduardo Fernandes having to interfere. Arnaldo Correia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidnei Cordeiro in the 82nd minute of the match. After 85 played minutes Camba rufa city got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldinho Macedo. Grêmio F.B.P.A's Luís Eduardo Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nico Pena in the 87th minute of play. Nico Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Durval Miranda came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Camba rufa city fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Durval Miranda couldn't finish the play. Durval Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Eduardo Fernandes having to interfere. Luís Eduardo Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Durval Miranda in the 95th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Durval Miranda in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Eduardo Fernandes saved Grêmio F.B.P.A from getting behind. Luís Eduardo Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nico Pena in the 98th minute of play. Chants of Grêmio F.B.P.A echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Camba rufa city had held the ball for most of the match.
