After having played for 8 minutes, Agostinho Prata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Soinho SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agostinho Prata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10thth minute of the game Agostinho Prata who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canada's João Augusto Secco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. João Augusto Secco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agostinho Prata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Canada's Raí Lima threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luiz Eduardo Lucas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Eduardo Lucas in the 18th minute of play forced Soinho SS's goalkeeper Raí Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agostinho Prata struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. João Augusto Secco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soinho SS. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Canada's goalkeeper João Augusto Secco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luiz Eduardo Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raí Lima having to interfere. Raí Lima made an important save on a dangerous shot by Válbson Loureiro in the 41st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Luiz Eduardo Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canada's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Eduardo Lucas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raí Lima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luiz Eduardo Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Raí Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Canada's zone, Agostinho Prata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Augusto Secco came out of the goal and Agostinho Prata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

52 minutes into the game, Tostão Vinhas lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated João Augusto Secco. After a defensive mix-up in Soinho SS's zone, Luiz Eduardo Lucas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raí Lima came out of the goal and Luiz Eduardo Lucas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luiz Eduardo Lucas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 63 minutes, Guga Gerber mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Soinho SS and the Canada players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 63rd match minute, Soinho SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guga Gerber to maneuver through the defense. João Augusto Secco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho Prata in the 67th minute of play. Válbson Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 69th minute, Luís Fábio Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the match, Soinho SS's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Eduardo Macedo came free, but Raí Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute Válbson Loureiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raí Lima saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Soinho SS's goal looked a bit too open when Válbson Loureiro came free, but Raí Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raí Lima showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Eduardo Lucas in the 83rd minute of the match. A collision led to Soinho SS getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Alan Coutinho hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, Luís Fábio Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
