Spectators: 7220 (Terracing: 5416, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Luiz Eduardo Lucas started the match with the kick off. Luiz Eduardo Lucas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luís Eduardo Fernandes came out and tried to block the shot, but Luiz Eduardo Lucas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. Luís Eduardo Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Eduardo Lucas in the 8th minute of the match. Luís Eduardo Fernandes was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Luiz Eduardo Lucas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luiz Eduardo Lucas really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 14 minutes into the match, Grêmio F.B.P.A's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Eduardo Lucas came free, but Luís Eduardo Fernandes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mauro Rodrigues during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Canada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Eduardo Macedo to maneuver through the defense. Mauro Rodrigues was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 23rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. João Augusto Secco came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio F.B.P.A's Sidnei Cordeiro. But to his dismay, Sidnei Cordeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Luiz Eduardo Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Luís Eduardo Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grêmio F.B.P.A's Luís Eduardo Fernandes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio F.B.P.A from getting a goal against them. João Augusto Secco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lino Reis went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sidnei Cordeiro made a kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Válbson Loureiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio F.B.P.A's Luís Eduardo Fernandes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 53rd match minute, Grêmio F.B.P.A was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute of the match Murillo da Silveira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luís Eduardo Fernandes skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the Grêmio F.B.P.A defense, Válbson Loureiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Eduardo Fernandes. The Grêmio F.B.P.A fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Eduardo Fernandes should have stopped the shot. Sidnei Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. João Augusto Secco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio F.B.P.A's zone, Válbson Loureiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Eduardo Fernandes came out of the goal and Válbson Loureiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lino Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Eduardo Lucas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lino Reis scored 3-3 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Augusto Secco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
