The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nestor Abraão showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tony Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Álvaro Esteves in the 9th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Giuseppe Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. José Carlos Moreira hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Giovani Quirino hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Giuseppe Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Tony Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Giuseppe Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Giuseppe Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Corinthians-Ba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giuseppe Fonseca couldn't finish the play. Giuseppe Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nestor Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Carlos Moreira in the 32nd minute of play. José Carlos Moreira got his second yellow card in the match during the 33rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Serafim Massa hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Giuseppe Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Anajas's zone, Álvaro Esteves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tony Penha came out of the goal and Álvaro Esteves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute, Nelson Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alessandro Moreira was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Corinthians-Ba's goalkeeper Nestor Abraão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alessandro Moreira. Corinthians-Ba's Álvaro Esteves got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Giovani Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alessandro Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nestor Abraão was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but José Pedro Paulista showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 71 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alessandro Moreira got free with Nestor Abraão in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Anajas's goalkeeper Tony Penha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tony Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Álvaro Esteves in the 91st minute of the match. Giuseppe Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Tony Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nestor Abraão made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Alessandro Moreira sent off a good shot on target. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
