With his leg Raí Lima managed to avoid a goal in the 8thth minute, when Ratz FC's Antônio Linhares fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 9 minutes into the match, Marco de Amorim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Raí Lima. Soinho SS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marco de Amorim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 17 played minutes Soinho SS got a freekick which was hit by Agostinho Prata. A hard shot 19 in the game by Antônio Linhares from a close distance when the talented Raí Lima managed to make a qualified save. Soinho SS's players were relieved. Marco de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antônio Linharess short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Raí Lima to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 32nd minute, Juan Simões ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raí Lima was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Antônio Linhares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 39 minutes, Antônio Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ratz FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antônio Linhares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guga Meira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Raí Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Juan Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raí Lima having to interfere. If Antônio Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Soinho SS's zone, Antônio Linhares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raí Lima came out of the goal and Antônio Linhares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Oséias Quintal came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Ratz FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oséias Quintal couldn't finish the play. Guga Gerber charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guga Gerber the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 58 played minutes Soinho SS got a freekick which was hit by Guga Gerber. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antônio Linhares in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raí Lima saved Soinho SS from getting behind. The supporters of Ratz FC booed when Soinho SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guga Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Soinho SS's zone, Antônio Linhares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raí Lima came out of the goal and Antônio Linhares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Murillo Lima hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Antônio Linhares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raí Lima was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ratz FC fully deserved thier win.
