The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Geovânio Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Isafla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geovânio Vale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Charles Cerezos short, quick shot in the 4thth minute got Nilton Rodrigues to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Charles Cerezo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilton Rodrigues having to interfere. Geovânio Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 11 minutes of play, Isafla's Charles Cerezo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nilton Rodrigues was left in no man's land by his defense there! Teodoro Marinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guga Furtado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Samuca Cavalcante kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Teodoro Marinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Leão in the 19th minute of play. Guga Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Teodoro Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geovânio Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilton Rodrigues having to interfere. Teodoro Marinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guga Furtado's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Nilton Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovânio Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Charles Cerezo in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nilton Rodrigues, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Charles Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isafla's Teodoro Marinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guga Furtado in the 44th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guga Furtado to make the kick off. Charles Cerezo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Nilton Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nilton Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovânio Vale in the 57th minute of play. If Charles Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Charles Cerezo sped through Iracema FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nilton Rodrigues. Charles Cerezo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 78 played minutes Iracema FC got a freekick which was hit by Kléber Massa. The audience was convinced that Geovânio Vale's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nilton Rodrigues was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In the 92nd minute, one of Iracema FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Iracema FC. In the 94th minute there was a penalty for Isafla. Enrique Vidal stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nilton Rodrigues. 4-0. Guga Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Marinho having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Isafla fans cheered their team off the field, for while Iracema FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
