Jeremias Melo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Utopia Futebol Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Ronaldinho Sá scored to the left of an out of position Ronaldão Trigo, making the score, 1-0. Ronaldinho Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Queiroz in the 30th minute of play forced Futuro Zero F.C's goalkeeper Ademir Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 played minutes Futuro Zero F.C got a freekick which was hit by Vânderson Vinhas. 33 minutes into the match, Luciano Pernambucano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ademir Proença. Futuro Zero F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luciano Pernambucano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Enrique Queiroz took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ademir Proença. Ademir Proença dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Ademir Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Pernambucano in the 40th minute of the match. Ademir Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júnior Pires, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Enrique Queiroz charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ronaldão Trigo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ademir Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Queiroz in the 56th minute of play. Ademir Proença didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luciano Pernambucano went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 2-4 when Ronaldinho Sá sped through Utopia Futebol Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ronaldão Trigo. After having played for 67 minutes, Jeremias Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Futuro Zero F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremias Melo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Futuro Zero F.C's Ademir Proença got control of the ball when Enrique Queiroz tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Futuro Zero F.C fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Futuro Zero F.C's Ronaldinho Sá looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Teodoro de Barros charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Enrique Queiroz was shown his second yellow card after 91 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Futuro Zero F.C made a substitution. Jarbas Meireles replaced Tadeu Luz. Ronaldão Trigo came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Futuro Zero F.C's Jeremias Melo. But to his dismay, Jeremias Melo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-4. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
