Spectators: 7258 (Terracing: 5445, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 144) Ipucaba's Marcelo Andrade started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ipucaba's Fábio Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belmiro Figueiredo in the 6th minute of play. Edgar Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicolas Soares having to interfere. If Marcelo Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Edgar Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolas Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Pernambucano in the 17th minute of play. Marcelo Andrade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcelo Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, Belmiro Figueiredo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fábio Teles. Ipucaba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Belmiro Figueiredo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelo Andrade in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicolas Soares saved Grêmio MZF from getting behind. Fábio Teles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belmiro Figueiredo in the 38th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Benedito Vasconcelos notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Ipucaba's Fábio Teles. Fábio Teles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 46 played minutes Grêmio MZF got a freekick which was hit by Oséias Camargo. After having played for 47 minutes, Marcelo Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ipucaba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcelo Andrade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Ipucaba players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Grêmio MZF were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Belmiro Figueiredo to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Ipucaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmílson Freitas to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Ipucaba's zone, Benedito Vasconcelos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fábio Teles came out of the goal and Benedito Vasconcelos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Edgar Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ipucaba's Fábio Teles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Ipucaba from getting a goal against them. In the 61stth minute of the game Edgar Moura who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio MZF's Nicolas Soares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Grêmio MZF getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Oséias Camargo hit a great ball. In the 63rd minute, Belmiro Figueiredo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fábio Teles. The goal made the score 0-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benedito Vasconcelos got free with Fábio Teles in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nicolas Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. In the 84th match minute, Grêmio MZF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Teles to maneuver through the defense. Vítor Teles struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Fábio Teles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grêmio MZF. In the 92nd minute of the match, Benedito Vasconcelos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fábio Teles was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Belmiro Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the match, Grêmio MZF's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Andrade came free, but Nicolas Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
