In the 44th minute of the match, Lino Palmeira got a very nice opportunity to score, but Antônio Carlos Mesquita was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Hílton Peixoto kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. 49 minutes into the match, FC ALEGRETE's goalkeeper Antônio Carlos Mesquita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lino Palmeira.

53 minutes into the match, FC ALEGRETE's goal looked a bit too open when Serginho Amaral came free, but Antônio Carlos Mesquita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 56 minutes, Carlos Augusto Messias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC ALEGRETE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Augusto Messias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lino Palmeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Carlos Mesquita having to interfere. The supporters of Ceresopolis AD booed when FC ALEGRETE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lino Palmeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute.
