Alexsandro Eger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vágner Chaves struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Charles Carneiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tesourinha. If Abelardo de Salles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 28th match minute, Dragões de Santiago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno de Moraes to maneuver through the defense. Abelardo de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Carneiro having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Dragões de Santiago's zone, Vágner Chaves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charles Carneiro came out of the goal and Vágner Chaves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vágner Chaves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Dragões de Santiago's goal looked a bit too open when Vágner Chaves came free, but Charles Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tesourinha's goalkeeper Alexsandro Eger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Vitório Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilian Arruda to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Dragões de Santiago's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo de Salles came free, but Charles Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 68 played minutes Dragões de Santiago got a freekick which was hit by Elivélton Prado. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Abelardo de Salles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alexandre França received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Alexsandro Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilian Arruda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Alexsandro Eger made a huge save. In the 92nd minute Vágner Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charles Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abelardo de Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
