To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walmyr Lopez struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Cafu Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. 5 de Janeiro Reload's supporters rose to their feet, but Cafu Godoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josué Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 16 minutes, Arlindo Fontes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Revenge and the 5 de Janeiro Reload players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Revenge's Arlindo Fontes got a free kick in the 16th minute. 5 de Janeiro Reload's Walmyr Lopez got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cafu Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josué Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmyr Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Revenge's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Walmyr Lopez scored to the left of an out of position Josué Amorim, making the score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, 5 de Janeiro Reload's Natã Valle got a free kick in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Walmyr Lopez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Josué Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cafu Godoi in the 52nd minute of play. After 54 played minutes Revenge got a freekick which was hit by Sidnei Mineiro. Josué Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cafu Godoi's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. The referee ignored Revenge's protests and gave Dagoberto Oliveira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th match minute, Revenge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagoberto Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmyr Lopez in the 71st minute of play forced Revenge's goalkeeper Josué Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
