With a left leg Narciso Lucas saved Paulista FC from getting behind. 14 minutes into the match, 5 de Janeiro Reload's goalkeeper Agostinho Barreto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando da Costa. Walmyr Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Paulista FC's Paulão Cruz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Agostinho Barreto. That made the score 1-1 after 18 minutes of play. In the 24th minute, Walmyr Lopez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Narciso Lucas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Narciso Lucas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Walmyr Lopez went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Walmyr Lopez in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Narciso Lucas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Narciso Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmyr Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Cafu Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narciso Lucas having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Paulista FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cafu Godoi came free, but Narciso Lucas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Natã Valle took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Narciso Lucas. Paulista FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Walmyr Lopez made a kick off. Narciso Lucas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cafu Godoi in the 52nd minute. Narciso Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmyr Lopez, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After 54th play minutes Cafu Godoi shot 1-4, a short shot which went by Narciso Lucas and just under the crossbar into goal. Walmyr Lopez might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Narciso Lucas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of 5 de Janeiro Reload:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Paulista FC:s goal. When Enrique Catarinense fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paulista FC's protests and gave Enrique Catarinense a yellow card for diving instead. Walmyr Lopez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Narciso Lucas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Cafu Godoi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Narciso Lucas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 78 played minutes Paulista FC got a freekick which was hit by Horácio da Costa. 81 minutes into the game, Cafu Godoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Narciso Lucas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Walmyr Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Narciso Lucas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Cafu Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. 5 de Janeiro Reload's supporters rose to their feet, but Cafu Godoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Narciso Lucas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cafu Godoi in the 92ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Narciso Lucas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Narciso Lucas made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Cafu Godoi sent off a good shot on target. If Walmyr Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 5 de Janeiro Reload's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
