In the 7th minute, Revenge's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jaime Pinho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 10 minutes into the match, Revenge's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Paiva came free, but Josué Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Amorim having to interfere. Josué Amorim made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Edinho Lira sent off a good shot on target. Revenge's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Paulo Paiva scored to the left of an out of position Josué Amorim, making the score, 1-0. When Jaime Pinho came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Campeche FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Pinho couldn't finish the play. If Jaime Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josué Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edinho Lira, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Kléber Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Erasmo Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Jaime Pinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Campeche FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. With his leg Josué Amorim managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Campeche FC's Jaime Pinho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kléber Neto made a kick off. Revenge's Josué Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edinho Lira in the 53rd minute of play. Paulo Paiva struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Josué Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Campeche FC. In the 59th minute Kléber Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Paiva in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Josué Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 67 minutes, Jaime Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Campeche FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Pinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aírton Cabral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Erasmo Rodrigues read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Jaime Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Amorim having to interfere. After 81 minutes of play, Campeche FC's Paulo Paiva made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Josué Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iuri Alvarenga hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. The supporters of Campeche FC booed when Revenge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute Almir Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josué Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Revenge booed when Campeche FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hudson Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute, Arlindo Fontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aírton Cabral succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-1 in the 94th playminute.
