Jaime Pinho started the match with the kick off. Erasmo Rodrigues was a little too slow when Luís Gustavo Saraiva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, Campeche FC's goalkeeper Erasmo Rodrigues had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedrinho Coelho. Luís Gustavo Saraiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo Rodrigues having to interfere. Murilo da Mata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edinho Lira, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Luís Gustavo Saraiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute Jaime Pinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murilo da Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaime Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Murilo da Mata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Paulo Paiva received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Murilo da Mata came out and tried to block the shot, but Paulo Paiva slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 56th minute. Murilo da Mata stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Paiva's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. If Paulo Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erasmo Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Gustavo Saraiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the match, Campeche FC's Paulo Paiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Murilo da Mata narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jaime Pinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Campeche FC booed when Pintinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Murilo da Mata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Murilo da Mata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Paiva in the 81st minute of play. 84 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pintinha's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Almir Prado was slow to take the kick. During this time Campeche FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Campeche FC's corner Almir Prado fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Murilo da Mata quite easily take care of the ball. Jaime Pinho hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. When Jaime Pinho got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Campeche FC. When Pedrinho Coelho fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pintinha's protests and gave Pedrinho Coelho a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pintinha getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Pedrinho Coelho hit a great ball. After 94 minutes of play Pintinha's Pedrinho Coelho was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Campeche FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
