In the 2nd minute Doni Berger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Narciso Lucas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Narciso Lucas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jano Furtado's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Narciso Lucas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doni Berger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernando da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Tande having to interfere. Fernando da Costa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Manoel Tande came out and tried to block the shot, but Fernando da Costa slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 21st minute. Paulão Cruz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Catarinense in the 27th minute of play forced Máquina Mortífera FC's goalkeeper Manoel Tande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enrique Catarinense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Tande having to interfere. If Fernando da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Máquina Mortífera FC's Manoel Tande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulão Cruz in the 34th minute of play. Fernando da Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jerônimo dos Santos during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 46th match minute, Paulista FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerônimo dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. Jano Furtado took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Narciso Lucas. Narciso Lucas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enrique Catarinense during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Máquina Mortífera FC booed when Paulista FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique Catarinense didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulão Cruz in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manoel Tande saved Máquina Mortífera FC from getting behind. After 67 played minutes Paulista FC got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Catarinense. After a defensive mix-up in Paulista FC's zone, Jano Furtado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Narciso Lucas came out of the goal and Jano Furtado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 79 minutes into the match, Doni Berger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Narciso Lucas. Paulista FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Doni Berger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Doni Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Narciso Lucas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doni Berger took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Narciso Lucas. Narciso Lucas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Paulista FC's Narciso Lucas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Paulista FC from getting a goal against them. Manoel Tande didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fernando da Costa went, in the 99th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. The Máquina Mortífera FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Máquina Mortífera FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
