When Pedrinho Coelho came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Pintinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedrinho Coelho couldn't finish the play. Jano Furtado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Murilo da Mata read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. After 20 minutes of play, Máquina Mortífera FC's Doni Berger made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Murilo da Mata was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 26 minutes, Noel Almeida mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Máquina Mortífera FC and the Pintinha players grew even worse after the yellow card. Doni Berger might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Murilo da Mata. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Doni Berger ran back to his position shaking his head. Máquina Mortífera FC's Adriano Mendes got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luís Gustavo Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Manoel Tande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedrinho Coelho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manoel Tande read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. After having played for 66 minutes, Luís Gustavo Saraiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pintinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Gustavo Saraiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Máquina Mortífera FC's Doni Berger got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, Pedrinho Coelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
