If Bruninho Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kléberson Guerra kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinei Correia in the 21st minute of play forced JL Sport Clube's goalkeeper Sidnei Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Itaipulândia Futebol Club's Agnaldo Mandrak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Itaipulândia Futebol Club from getting a goal against them. Agnaldo Mandrak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruninho Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, Carlos Fernando Arce made a precise shot to the right of Sidnei Santos. JL Sport Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Wanderson Paranaense scored 1-2 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sidnei Santos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A hard shot by Samuca Nascimento from long distance, 58 minutes into the match, got Sidnei Santos's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Agnaldo Mandrak came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by JL Sport Clube's Bruninho Neiva. But to his dismay, Bruninho Neiva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 72nd minute, JL Sport Clube's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Carlos Fernando Arce fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 74th match minute, Itaipulândia Futebol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Fernando Arce to maneuver through the defense. 76 minutes into the game, Wanderson Paranaense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Itaipulândia Futebol Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave JL Sport Clube the free kick. In the 76th minute, Wanderson Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 95th minute, Carlos Fernando Arce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
